Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering

How do I place an order?

Browse the catalog, add items to your cart, and check out on scienceonelabs.com. You will need to confirm that you are purchasing for laboratory research purposes before checkout completes. An order confirmation is emailed to you with your order number.

What payment methods do you accept?

[OWNER INPUT: accepted payment methods]. Payment details are collected at checkout through our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.

Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?

Contact support as soon as possible with your order number. Orders can be changed or cancelled up until they are packed for shipment. Once a shipping label is created, changes are no longer possible for that shipment.

Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Orders are handed to the carrier within 24 hours of payment clearing on a business day, and transit is typically 2 to 5 business days within the United States. Orders are processed in the sequence received, and you will receive a shipment notification when your order leaves our facility.

How do I track my order?

A tracking number is emailed to you when your order ships. You can follow the shipment directly on the carrier's site using that number. If tracking has not updated for several days, contact support with your order number.

How are orders packaged?

Vials are packed in protective inner packaging inside a plain outer box. Labeling identifies the contents as research materials, and each vial carries its lot number and QR code.

Products

What does the purity percentage mean?

Purity is an analytical measurement, reported by an independent laboratory, of how much of the material in a lot is the stated compound versus other substances detected by the analysis method. It is a description of the material itself, as tested, and is documented on the lot's certificate of analysis.

How do I access a certificate of analysis (COA)?

Scan the QR code on your vial. It resolves to the lot record at scienceonelabs.com/c/LOT, where the COA on file for that lot is available. You can also request a COA from support by quoting the lot number on your vial.

What is a lot number and why does it matter?

The lot number ties your specific vial to the batch it came from, including its intake record and testing documentation. It is how you verify that the documentation you are reading applies to the exact material on your bench. Details are on our Lab Standards page.

How should materials be stored on arrival?

Store sealed vials protected from light in a stable cold environment, per the conditions listed on the product page and lot record. Avoid repeated temperature cycling and log the material into your laboratory inventory on receipt. This is general materials-handling guidance, not usage instruction.

Compliance

Are these products for human use?

No. Every product we sell is supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research and development. RESEARCH USE ONLY - NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. We do not provide, and will not discuss, any form of human or veterinary application.

Who is eligible to purchase, and why is there a research-use gate?

Our customers are laboratories, academic institutions, and qualified independent researchers purchasing materials for research purposes. The confirmation step at checkout exists because these are research chemicals, not consumer goods: we require every buyer to acknowledge the intended use before an order is accepted, and we may decline orders that do not meet our terms.
